Open Guard Retention - Seated Guard - Posture and Movement
3m 56s
In this video, we look at the basics of good posture and movement whilst in Seated Guard - one of the most important things to consider is Distance Management; allowing your opponent to close the distance and get dominant grips is generally not good, but so is over-reaching and opening up yourself to potential passes or submissions.
By ensuring your posture is good, you can mitigate the risk of certain submissions and passes and good movement can help you capture the initiative.
