This video series looks at the Seated Guard, specifically with regards to applying it aggressively - one of the common issues with playing guard is that people tend to be quick to play off their back, but unless you happen to be exceptionally flexible and/or gifted then this approach means you are putting yourself at a disadvantage. It makes sense to have an Open Guard with several layers, combining Offence and Defence to ensure you have every opportunity to stifle your opponent's game, and get your own started.
